eSHa 2000 and snails

Post  Akasha on Tue 26 May 2015, 16:01

sorry if this is in the wrong place but I think it was on here that I read good things about eSHa 2000 treatments. I've never used them before - I've always sworn by Waterlife's products but this time I thought I'd try out eSHa.

I have a cory with fungus. She bashed her tail on the tanks central support bar a while back and it just won't heal. I've tried Melafix - she's had two courses of that. I've tried an anti-biotic (waterlife Octozin) that didn't help. She's had two salt dips to no avail and now she's been in meth blue for over a week and this furry tail isn't improving. I'm at a loss now.

My problem is I have two zebra nerite snails and the packaging says nothing about whether this stuff is safe for them. Can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance

It's a good treatment, but I'm not sure if it's snail safe.

it says it contains Copper and I've got it in my head that it's Copper that snails can't tolerate.

I think I'll remove them then to be on the safe side

Certainly copper is harmful to shrimps, snails & other invertebrates, but the quantity used is very small, but certainly better to play it safe.

I thought it was .. I'm just doubting my own knowledge and experience a little at the moment. Plus all other meds I've used have always had a warning about shrimps/snail etc and cos this one didn't it threw me.

Thanks for the reassurance Smile
