Yey - you've got a new tank!

My advice would be not to rush setting it up. Your question isn't very specific, so it's hard to answer without going right around the hosues so to speak. Why not post a picture for comments? Where are you up to now? What are your next steps? Or is it just a case of 'got a tank, hmmm, now... where should I start!'?

If money and space was no object, what tank would you have? (Let your imagination run wild for 5 minutes)...
3, 2, 1, you're back in the room, feeling refreshed and alert!

Now, taking into consideration that money or space (or both) are limited, you should be able to judge what is achievable and realistic.

You say you like the Roma 240, that's a good size (the more water you have the better because you can house more or larger fish and the environment will also be more stable). If I remember correctly, the 240 is 120cm in length so plenty of viewing space, it's a good start, better than getting a 60cm tank, then messing about upgrading to a 90cm tank and then a 120cm. It's not too big that it would overpower a room either which (imo) can happen with tanks 150cm+ in length and over 45cm in width.

I don't feel that tank height plays such an important part, height just adds more possibilities to the display - more costs and complications - if you have to put your head under the water to touch the bottom, it's probably too deep! Smile
