Lisa's fish

Post  Pterophyllum on Thu 17 May 2012, 00:01

Have just got home from a 3 day break in Wales.
On Monday I took a few of my fish up for Lisa, as a bit of a thank you for all her work in setting up and running this forum. Whilst I was there I took a few photos of some of her lovely fish.
There were several pairs tending young, I'm sure Lisa will tell you more about the fish in the following photos but here goes...

I love the red edging that some angels get on their fins, I've seen it in quite a few of my blue smokeys/chocolates, but it's not something I've seen often, if at all, in silvers. I love the shape of this fish too, which I believe was bred by Dave (Baldyman)

One of Lisa's rams

This appears to be a paraiba blue koi, it's a little small to say for certain, but I'm pretty confident that it is..

Not so sure about this one, Lisa thinks he's a pinoy, I'm not so sure, although pinoys can be hard to identify with certainty, in the best of light, and he wasn't in the best tank to say for sure! Two things which are for sure....
1. He's a splendid fish with great finnage
2. He's a great parent!

Finally Lisa's Koi/gold marbles were some of the nicest I've seen, not just for the coloour, but also for the body shape...

Sadly couldn't bring any home with me as we were going on to spend a couple of days climbing mountains and visiting railways! Nice to meet you Lisa and keep up the good work!

The youngsters are all bred from wharbys angels lines & the Blue Koi Paraiba is brother or sister to your blue kois Helen Very Happy

They are all gorgeous Lisa. The largest of the blue koi paraiba you sent me has grown fast and developed a beautiful orange crown. I'll try to get a pic of her/ him soon.
